Helem Shares Touching Video On LGBTQ+ Acceptance And Family Support

The NGO focused on LGBTQ+ rights in the region Helem has recently shared a touching video to highlight their Family Support Program — an incredible program that works to bridge the gap between LGBTQI+ individuals and their families. In the video, several members of the community listen to beautiful messages recorded by their family members.

The heartfelt video touches upon the important role a family plays in building a healthy and safe future for its homosexual members, and how initiating a conversation about children’s sexual orientation will help parents break misconceptions about homosexuality.

Believing that “knowledge is the key to acceptance”, Helem encourages all family members of the LGBTQ+ community in Lebanon to join the Family Support Program through which they will be provided with scientific, accurate, and credible information about sexuality. This will deepen their understanding of their children, siblings, or relatives’ identity and help them create a shame-free home for their loved-ones.
