Amid horrifying news from Lebanon comes the story of a Lebanese restaurant called Byblos that is serving up delicious meals in Downtown Tokyo, Japan. Since Beirut’s streets are chockfull of sushi restaurants, we are happy to see that Japanese people are also getting a taste of Lebanese food!
The Japanese ambassador to Lebanon Takeshi Okubo shared a photo of the restaurant on his Twitter account. “The new Lebanese restaurant Byblos in Downtown Tokyo with a Lebanese chef. Its reputation is very good. I wish it more success,” said Okubo.

The restaurant has a variety of traditional Lebanese dishes like the unparalleled wara2 3inab (stuffed grape leaves) and delectable kebbeh.
Byblos also has a wide variety of Lebanese pastries like man’ouche and la7me b3ajeen.
And the dessert section does not disappoint, either. Boasting a selection of sweets like halawet el jebn and maamoul.
