Lebanese Minister of Health Cuts A Cake In A Crowd Amid Lockdown
It seems as though lockdown measures were only intended for us common folk.
Lebanese Minister of Health Hamad Hassan was spotted strolling around Baalbek’s souk on Saturday when he stopped in a crowd to cut a multi-layer wedding cake in a crowd. This coincided with the time we were all cooped up at home, with our businesses shut down.
The minister can be seen in a large crowd of people (illegal), surrounded by open jewelry stores and businesses (illegal), partaking in the celebratory cutting of a cake (illegal, and weird).
In response, the minister’s son decided to share a video that he thought excused his father by saying, “Those celebrating insisted that the minister joined them, and he did so after distributing masks”. The minister retweeted this.
So next time you get stuck on a checkpoint, just tell the darak, “oh, my friend INSISTED that I stay for that 4th shot of tequila, so I distributed masks and stayed”.
