LOL: Lebanese Protestors Hold Funeral For Lebanese Lira
Lebanese humor truly knows no end, even during these trying times.
A hilarious video has been making the rounds on social media, showing a group of protestors holding a funeral for the Lebanese Lira, reportedly in Zahle.
But the funniest part of it all is that they’re replicating the popular meme of Ghana’s dancing pallbearers. Recognize them?
Well, the local version is even better.
The men are seen marching in a crowd, holding a coffin above their heads with the Lebanese Lira stamped on it. But it only gets better when the music plays, the beat drops, and they start dancing.
It’s good to see that some people still have it in them to try and put a smile on others’ faces, even if it is to mock a truly disturbing reality – the devaluation of our lira.
