Lebanese citizens are engaging in a new form of revolution: the public shaming and shunning of political figures from public spaces.
After the
booing of Fuad Sanioura out of AUB, Ahmad Fatfat getting kicked out of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tripoli, protestors
barging in on and ending a meeting between Mohammad Choucair and Nicolas Chammas, and Elie el Ferzli
getting shamed out of Swiss Butter, citizens were busy this weekend! Over the past couple of days, the Public Works Minister in the caretaker government Youssef Finianos was shamed out of Aishti seaside, MP Emile Rahme from Lina’s cafe in Kaslik, and Tarek Mehebi out of La Parilla restaurant.

At the same time, MP Sami Fatfat was lunching at La Parilla when citizens gathered outside to protest him being there. Shortly thereafter, his bodyguards allegedly became physically aggressive with protestors. La Parilla issued the following statement as a response:
