Trihaus
The world was introduced to the concept of 3D printing two decades ago, but the phenomenon has only recently found its way into Lebanon thanks to the likes of Trihaus. The process of building three-dimensional objects based on a digitally created model has proven itself to be multi-faceted, and has been used in medicine, construction, culinary arts, interior design, and architecture.
Trihaus recently opened in Hamra, as a 3D printing, laser cutting coffee shop. If you’re interested in watching the process of 3D printing while sipping on a hearty cup of coffee, Trihaus is the place for you. You’ll be tempted to walk in at first sight of Trihaus’s façade, with vibrant 3D printed objects decorating the window, and a series of lighthearted quotes that are bound to make you crave a cup of coffee.
Once you’re inside, you’ll notice a wind-like sound surrounds the café, and shortly after you’ll realize that it’s the soundtrack of several 3D printing machines at work. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and happy to tell you all about the process of 3D printing. The tables are adorned with 3D printed vases filled with 3D printed roses, and your coffee will sit on a 3D printed coaster – this place is sure to get your creative juices flowing.
Trihaus is conveniently located on Abdel-Aziz Street between LAU and AUB, so if you’re in the area be sure to pass by for a bagel, a coffee, or some inspiration.
