Malak el Foul arguably serves the best hummus in Beirut. The small menu also includes foul, fetteh and eggs. Prices are cheap and portions are huge.
There’s only a few places to sit, so most customers take their food to go. You can also order delivery if you’re in the Hamra area. A true Beirut gem, if you love hummus, you have got to try Malak el Foul.
Directions: Walk down Sidani Street (with traffic) so that Score market is on your left. Look to the right-hand side and you’ll see a travel agency called Jet Travel on the corner of a side street called Antoun Gemayel. Turn right on that street, and walk just a few feet and you’ll find Malak el Foul on your right, next to a fruit and vegetable stand.
