An Eric Rohmer Retrospective

The French Cultural Mission in Lebanon and the Metropolis Association pay tribute to one of the greatest French filmmakers of all times, Eric Rohmer.

One year after his death, Rohmer comes back through a retrospective of 10 of his films that will allow the Lebanese audience to discover more about this observer of human passions.

Major player of the French New Wave movement along with such reputed directors as Jean Luc Godard, Jacques Rivette, François Truffaut and Claude Chabrol, Eric Rohmer has directed 50 films throughout his busy career, and left a big mark on French cinema during the past 50 years.

Special Feature:Film critic in Positif, writer and teacher at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA), Jean-Christophe Ferrari will present the retrospective Les Contes d’ Eric Rohmer on opening day.
