Lebanese Sushi? Yes, It’s a Thing—and Here’s Where to Try It

Are you a real sushi lover if you haven’t tried every type of sushi out there? Sushi Ya is turning classic Lebanese bites into sushi rolls, and we’re honestly intrigued.

The sushi rolls are made of chenklish, jebne balade, makdous, and labneh coated in zaatar. Perhaps if you’re craving sushi for breakfast, then Lebanese sushi might be the way to go.

And Carla, the brilliant chef behind Sushi Ya, swaps out soya sauce for olive oil, making it the perfect sushi-fied Lebanese breakfast.

She’s also behind other creative combinations! Did you know that she made a Bûche de Noël out of sushi? It featured two large rolls: one with salmon and Philadelphia, and another with tuna, mango, and avocado. Read more about that here.

If someone tells you that you can’t have sushi for breakfast, then show them this creation by Sushi Ya. Make sure to follow them on Instagram for more of their delightful bites!
