Lebanon U17 Girl’s Football Team Wins West Asia Championship 2025

Great news! Lebanon’s U17 Girl’s National Football Team won the 2025 West Asia Championship following an impressive 4-0 victory over Syria in the final match held on Sunday.

This remarkable achievement comes after a week of intense competition at the tournament, which ran from February 7 to 16, 2025. The tournament, hosted in Saudi Arabia, featured six teams: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Bahrain.

This marks their third major triumph in the region’s football scene! The team had previously won the WAFF U-17 Girls Championship in 2019 and 2023, as well as the Arab U-17 Women’s Cup in 2015.

As we celebrate this major achievement, our hearts are with Celine Haidar, a young athlete who is in recovery after suffering severe injuries from an enemy airstrike on Beirut’s Chiyah area.
