On the hunt for top-notch sushi in Beirut? We tried the newly opened Sushi Bell in Hamra, and we’re here to let you in on everything we tried and loved at this spot!
When we were leaving our offices in Hamra, we noticed this hidden gem located right across from Li Beirut. For those who don’t know, Sushi Bell is a go-to sushi joint in Baakline, known for its fresh, flavorful offerings. But now, they’ve expanded and brought their delicious creations to the heart of Beirut!
Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the Sushi Bell experience, their Hamra location is ready to impress on your next trip to the city. Here’s everything we ordered during our visit:
For starters
Dynamite Shrimp
Crazy Salad
Salmon Sashimi
The dynamite shrimp tastes just as good as it looks! Perfectly fried shrimp, tossed in their dynamite sauce, which has a hint of sweetness to it.
We didn’t expect much from the salmon sashimi, but it was actually way better than we expected. The salmon is fresh and melts in your mouth with every bite.
Our sushi order
Mono
Vergo 22
C-4
Crazy Salmon
Mandy
Now, onto the sushi! We watched their team meticulously roll each piece, ensuring everything was perfectly clean. The chefs pay close attention to detail, and they made sure the sushi platter was not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes with its neat presentation.
Our favorites were definitely the Mono and the C-4 (which quite literally delivers explosive flavors). The rice-to-filling ratio was perfect, so the rolls weren’t rice-heavy, allowing the flavors of the salmon and crab to truly shine.
We calculated the average price to be approximately $30 per person, which was a pretty good deal for the quality of sushi we got.
Their Hamra branch is open every day except Mondays from 12 PM until 11 PM. For more about this gem, check out their Instagram!
