Yasmina Hayek Lands MICHELIN Young Chef Award

Lebanese people are always making us proud! Yasmina Hayek—Executive Head Chef, Co-Owner, and Head Designer of her family’s Em Sherif restaurant group—was named this year’s MICHELIN Young Chef Award winner. She is the first woman in the Middle East to receive this prestigious award.

Hayek made a name for herself, applauded for her dedication to sharing Lebanese culinary heritage with the world. Inspired by a love for her country and the legacy of her incredible mother, Mireille Hayek (Em Sherif herself), her commitment to excellence has earned her widespread recognition.

Hayek oversees menu creation, culinary direction, training, and international expansion. Em Sherif group currently serves over 10,000 customers daily across 24 outlets in MENA, Europe, and South America.

Earlier this year, Em Sherif opened a new deli in Downtown Beirut. This brand has become an ambassador for Lebanese food and hospitality across the world!

Hayek also landed a feature in this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Did you know that 20 Lebanese people were on the Forbes list this year? You can check them out here.

Congratulations to Yasmina and the amazing team behind Em Sherif!
