Al Mokhtar Restaurant Opens its Doors to the Displaced
Al Mokhtar, a beloved Lebanese family business, transformed its restaurant into a shelter for the displaced. After closing its doors back in September, the restaurant has since reopened with a new purpose, offering refuge to those affected by the war.
The owners equipped the restaurant, which is located in Saida, with all the necessities required to shelter the displaced. The space has been carefully prepared to foster a sense of safety and comfort, transforming dining areas into sleeping spaces with bedding and essential supplies.
Al Mokhtar is not just meeting immediate needs but also inspiring a sense of solidarity within the local community.
