Lebanon’s Public Bus Network Adds New Route, Now 12 in Total

Good news for commuters in Lebanon! The public bus network just got a little bigger with the launch of a new route, bringing the total to 12. After launching back in early July with 96 new buses on 11 different routes connecting Beirut to different parts of Lebanon, including Tripoli, Jounieh, Baabda, Damour, Chtaura, and Tyre.

A recent Al Jadeed reportage announced the launch of a new bus route connecting Nahr El Mot and Baabda. Since the introduction of the buses, many passengers have expressed how much it has simplified their daily commute, making their lives easier while being an affordable option for getting around.

Here are the current 11 bus routes:

B1: Nahr el Mot – Bain Militaire – Nahr el Mot

B2: Nahr el Mot – Mar Mikhael – Nahr el Mot

B3: Mar Mikhael – Beirut – Mar Mikhael

B4: Adlieh – Lebanese University – Adlieh

B5: Mar Mikhael – Concord (Verdun) – Mar Mikhael

B6: Martyrs’ Square – Damour – Martyrs’ Square

B7: Mar Mikhael – Khalde – Mar Mikhael

ML1: Adlieh – Chtaura – Adlieh

ML2: Khalde – Tyre – Khalde

ML3: Nahr el Mot – Baabda Governmental Hospital – Nahr el Mot

ML4: Nahr el Mot – Tripoli – Nahr el Mot

With plans to add more routes and expand the public bus network in Lebanon, the system is set to offer even greater convenience and coverage, making public transportation a more accessible and cost-effective option in a country where the roads are notoriously challenging.
