8 Summer Spots Outside Beirut (That Aren’t Just Beaches)

The summer time in Lebanon offers a myriad of experiences that aren’t limited to just beach destinations. Don’t get us wrong, Lebanon’s beaches are incredible in the summer. But trust us when we say, there’s so much more to see and do than just catching rays. Lebanon’s got mountains, forests, charming towns – the whole package! Here are 8 summer-ready spots in Lebanon that you need to visit.

1. The Baakline waterfalls

Baakline is one of many destinations in Lebanon where you can find amazing waterfalls. Enjoy serene hikes, take a dive into the crystalline waters, and snap a few pictures of the fantastic scenery.

But if you’re looking for a restaurant located right by the waterfalls, we recommend Shallalat El Zarka.

2. This campsite in Serjbel

On The Roots is a wonderfully secluded campsite in the heart of Serjbel’s forests. An ideal escape from the chaotic city life, you can spend your day lounging by the river, enjoying idle chats with your friends, and going on exciting hikes to uncover more of what the region has to offer.

3. GreenHouse Café & Bar in Batroun

The coastal city is known for being one of the best summer destinations, but we think the Batroun hilltops have a lot to offer. Though you’ll love strolling through their souks, grabbing a cold drink, and then lounging around Bahsa Bay, you’ll also fall in love with the sunset views from GreenHouse, which overlooks the coastal city.

4. Beit El Qamar in Deir El Qamar

A farmer’s kitchen and guesthouse with a spectacular outdoor terrace where you can enjoy locally produced delicacies, home cooked meals, and more.

5. 3a Hawak in Mazraait El Nahr

Enjoying a delicious meal by running water is a very typical Lebanese experience. 3a Hawak offers an amazing riverside culinary experience, where you can feast on traditional Lebanese cuisine.

6. The hidden waterfall in Kfarhelda

We couldn’t NOT include another waterfall destination on this list because the hidden Kfarhelda waterfall is a must-visit spot for the summer. Now that warmer days are ahead of us, you should plan a trip to this remarkable gem.

7. This hilltop in Koura

A tranquil destination for large groups of friends. If you’re a sucker for breathtaking views, then you should make plans to visit Tallé in Koura for the summer.

8. La Bécasse in Chebanieh

A breathtaking natural gem in Chebanieh that is perfect for the summer, where you can enjoy a cool breeze as you feast on delectable Lebanese mezza – all while surrounded by the region’s beautiful greenery!
