There’s Bûche 3a La7me Nayye And We Don’t Know How To Feel

We’ve seen it all at this point: weird ice cream flavors and creative food combinations that probably shouldn’t be combined in the first place. Did this desensitize us to crazy creations? Nope.

Someone decided to cater to Lebanon’s meat lovers for the holiday season and came up with a Bûche de Noël…but 3a la7me nayye.

We guarantee that you won’t see this anywhere else in Lebanon, or anywhere else in the world for that matter. You can find this creation at Jaafar Naboulsi‘s butcher shop. The butcher shop doubles as a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh meat, raw or grilled.

Instead of the traditional chocolate cake, the butcher shop wanted to express the holiday spirit in their own way. It kinda makes sense to do what you do best, which is serve fresh meat.

The raw meat is rolled up to resemble the traditional Yule log, lathered in liyyeh and topped with cumin. The chef finishes off the dish by decorating the la7me nayye log with some festive ornaments to stay on theme.

Sure, it’s a crazy idea but it’s quite unexpected. Imagine pulling up to the Christmas family dinner with a la7me nayye bûche, but we’re sure this won’t be an issue for a family of meat lovers. At least you can enjoy your bûche with a cold glass of Arak!
