Great news! Popular Lebanese show Til Death (Lal Mawt) is going to be adapted into Turkish.
TV buffs know that most shows screened on Lebanese television are often adapted from other countries, namely Turkish, but this time, it’s the other way around.
The show, which is written by Nadine Jaber and directed by Philip Asmar, has achieved overwhelming success in Lebanon and the Arab region after it aired for the first time 3 years ago. Popular for its thrilling story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, combined with the impressive performance by its cast, the show recently came back for its third and equally exciting installment.
This show follows Sahar and Reem’s struggle with their troubling past and their decision to change their lives completely by stealing money from wealthy men after dealing with years of living in poverty. After Reem’s marriage to Hadi, an affair occurs between him and Sahar, which leads to a series of disastrous events.
The cast of Til Death includes Maguy Bou Ghosn, Daniella Rahme, Douja Hijazi, Munir Shlita, Ward El Khal, Mohammed Akeel, Mohammed Al Ahmed, Mahyar Khodor, Yaman Al Hajli, Faiz Qazaq, and Rayyan Harake.
Lebanese journalist Elie Merheb shared the exciting news on X (or Twitter, whatever), and according to his statement, the adaptation will be filmed in Turkey with an entirely Turkish cast. The show will be screened on Turkish Channel Kanal D in 2024.
