This Weekend: A Play About Ghassan Kanafani At Zoukak Theater

To honor the life of Palestinian writer and revolutionary Ghassan Kanafani, Zoukak Theater will be hosting the final performances of “The Gazelle of Akka”.

The performance will entail many important chapters of Ghassan Kanafani’s life, celebrating his legacy as a prolific writer and activist whose writings still make profound impact to this day. With a riveting performance by Raeda Taha and compelling direction by Junaid Sarieddine, the play retells the moving story of Kanafani as a writer, critic, activist, and painter up until his brutal assassination at the age of 36.
