‘The Earth Will Tremble’ – A Luchino Visconti Retrospective

The Metropolis Association and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Beirut have the pleasure to present The Earth Will Tremble, a retrospective of the films of Italian acclaimed filmmaker Luchino Visconti.

Luchino Visconti di Modrone, aka Count of Lonate Pozzolo (1906 – 1976) was an Italian theater, opera and cinema director, as well as a screenwriter. He is best known for his films The Leopard (1963) and Death in Venice (1971). There is even a museum dedicated to the director’s work in Ischia.
