Helem Offers Free Legal Services To The LGBTQ+ Community

Following the ongoing attacks that the LGBTQ+ community has been witnessing across media outlets and social media platforms, Helem reminds members of the community of their free legal services to protect against any danger posed by the rising homophobic sentiment in Lebanon.

Their helpline (+961 71 916 146) offers free and confidential legal services to anyone who is being blackmailed, threatened, or who is experiencing physical or verbal assault as a result of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.

Helem‘s legal services include:

  • Legal consultation
  • Court representation
  • Documentation of human rights violations

The helpline is available from Monday to Friday, 9 AM until 5 PM. Reach out to them on +961 71 916 146 and make sure to share this number with whomever may need it. You can also follow them on Instagram for any relevant updates.
