Beloved Chef Ramzi Dead At 52

Sad news this morning as we report the death of beloved television chef Ramzi Choueiri, popularly known as Chef Ramzi, at the age of 52.

The iconic chef gained popularity while hosting a cooking show on Future Television, and later became well-known for his top-selling cook books.

More recently, Chef Ramzi managed to obtain three Guinness World Records for the largest servings of hummus (10.452 kg), tabbouleh (3.453 kg), and falafel (150.000 units), under the slogan that those are Lebanese could be changed to proudly proclaiming these Lebanese icons.

Choueiri also operated as CEO of Al Kafaat Foundation, a private NGO that offers rehabilitation services and specialized educational programs for people with disabilities. In a post on Instagram, the foundation announced the passing of their loved CEO:

To an entire generation who grew up during the heyday of Future TV, Chef Ramzi was a gregarious and warm icon. Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
