Safwan El Asli: Delicious Sfeeha In Beirut

Who is a fan of sfeeha? The bite-sized square meat pies are the perfect breakfast, lunch, or dinner, paired with cold laban and a spritz of lemon. While Baalbek has some of the best sfeeha in the country, a few spots in Beirut have started perfecting the art of these delectable bites.

One such place is Safwan El Asli, a butcher shop and bakery that is known for their quality ingredients and delicious bites. Open since 1984, Safwan has been serving mouthwatering pastries and meat pies in town at their two branches (Ouzai and Sfeir).

The delectable bites of heaven are stuffed to the brim with fresh beef and baked until golden.

Other tasty finds at this humble spot include cheesy pastries that are hand shaped and baked until golden, mini pizzas, mouthwatering fatayer, and even pomegranate-stuffed pastries that will keep you coming back for more.

Open every day except for Mondays, Safwan starts serving freshly baked delights at 6:30 AM.
