Return of the Beirut International and Arab Book Fair

After a three-year hiatus due to Lebanon’s economic crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, theThe Beirut International and Arab Book Fair is back for its 63rd edition at Biel’s Seaside Arena.

Under the motto of “Beirut cannot be broken,” visitors entering the doors of this book heaven will be greeted with endless stands of books accommodating around 90 publishing houses – which is less than half the usual number.

In this event, you can find a wide variety of English, Arabic, and French language books, both new and secondhand, and fiction and nonfiction. There is a high chance you can find the books listed on your TBR (to-be-read) for the best prices.

Aside from the selection of books, there are numerous Arab writers signing their works. This is the perfect chance to support your local authors, as well as stay in touch with stories that are close to home. You can find the event’s daily agenda on the Arab Cultural Club’s Facebook page.

After browsing the stands, you can rest at the food area and regain your energy with a fresh cup of coffee or enjoy some of the live music.

If you are an avid booklover, this event is your paradise on earth. Don’t leave your visit to the last minute, the book fair ends on March 13.
