Comedian Shaden Summoned To Military Court For Investigation

Yes, again.

After formerly being interrogated by the cyber crimes unit of state security last March, comedian Shaden Fakih has been called in for questioning yet again, but this time by the military court.

Typically reserved for military personnel and crimes that affect national security, it is highly unusual for a civilian to be summoned by this court.

In a (hilarious, as usual) video shared on her Instagram account, Shaden revealed that she had been summoned for “offending the reputation” of the office of Internal Security Forces.

Never shying away from an opportunity to make an incredible joke, Shaden then gave us a throwback to the iconic reason she had been interrogated the last time: calling 112 and asking for permission to leave her house to get Kotex pads during COVID-19 lockdown measures.

Known for her sharp wit and hilarious jokes, Shaden has made a name for herself on the Lebanese comedy scene for the past couple of years. For those who don’t know, Shaden also played a huge role in launching Beirut.com’s video content library, producing some of the funniest and most engaging content on our platform.
