As Lebanon’s diplomatic crisis with Gulf states continues to blossom, it has now been revealed that global shipment company DHL has been asked to halt all sorts of mail exchanges between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
A source told
Annahar that the mail service company has returned all the mail supposedly sent from Lebanon to the Kingdom. This decision was reportedly issued on Saturday, with stricter implementation to come.
KSA, UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait have all expelled Lebanese diplomats and recalled their envoys from Beirut over the past few days. This coincided with tapes of Lebanese Minister of Information
Georges Kordahi surfacing, in which he makes statements that are deemed inflammatory by those states. On the other hand, many defended Kordahi’s right to freedom of speech.
