Families Of August 4 Victims Attacked Last Night
Last night, news reporter Maha Hoteit took to Twitter to share a disgusting video of the families of August 4 victims being attacked by thugs.
The families had been protesting in front of Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri’s home in light of the recent decision to hold an exceptional session to reportedly amend a law regarding immunities. This would result in ultimately halting the investigations into parliamentarians called on by Judge Tarek Bitar, which enraged families and all free-thinking citizens.
Many people were angered by this decision and have organized protests which will take place during the session. If the session is successful in its coup against Judge Tarek Bitar, then this could be a huge setback in the fight for justice and holding those accountable.
