Lebanese politicians are known for not sharing the wealth, and that certainly goes for their marital lives too. A look at how deeply interconnected their families are gives insight as to their political and financial intermingling. Take a look!

1. MP Salim el Jisr is married to MP Mohammad Kabara’s sister, Salam Kabbara.

2. MP Michel Pharaoun’s sister is married to Jean De Freige, brother of MP Nabil De Freige. Both Pharaoun and his brother in law sit on the board of Libano Suisse insurance company.

3. President Elias Hrawi’s daughter Zalfa is married to Minister Fares Boueiz.

4. The son of speaker of parliament Hussein Husseini was married to MP Ahmad Karami’s daughter.

5. PM Saeb Salam’s brother is married to PM Omar Karami’s sister.

6. MP Fayez Ghosn is married to the daughter of former MP Bakhos Hakim.

7. Minister Elias Murr’s son was married to president Emile Lahoud’s daughter, Karine.

8. Minister Abdullah al Rassi was married to president Sleiman Frangieh’s daughter Sonia. El Rassi’s son Talal was married to Rola Fakhoury, daughter of Minister Chawki Fakhoury. El Rassi’s other son Karim (also an MP) is married to Lucy Salem, the daughter of Fuad Salem, the brother of Elie Salem, who was the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon in the 1980s.
