President Aoun Asks The People Where Reform Plans Have Gone

In a televised speech that was held at noon today, Lebanese President Michel Aoun addressed the nation in “complete openness and honesty” on the difficult stages ahead for Lebanon.

He discussed reform plans that had previously been set in place including electricity, water, social security, accountability, and more, and he blamed officials for blocking them and standing in the way. He also spoke to the public, asking “where” all these plans have gone (because it’s up to us to know?) before he addressed members of parliament and called on them to “have a sense of responsibility to their people and country”.



At a time when the country is falling apart in every sense of the word, you’d expect to receive answers from those in power rather than more questions hurled your way.
