Luxury Spot La Petite Maison Closes Its Doors In Beirut

The restaurant that originated in Nice, France and steadily expanded to London, Dubai, Miami, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong has said goodbye to Beirut and closed their Minet el Hosn branch.

Known for their exemplary service and pricey dishes, La Petite Maison opened their first Beirut location back in 2011 at Le Vendome Hotel before moving to the ground floor of M1 Building in Minet el Hosn. The “home of the Nicoise” served up their signature meals in a stunning space that was quite frankly inaccessible by most.

The decision to close comes as Lebanon becomes more entrenched in one of its most severe economic depressions and financial crises to date. We have seen countless restaurants, both high-end and affordable, be forced to shut their doors due to financial woes. Our hearts go out to the staffers who lost their livelihoods.

The restaurant’s catchy slogan, ‘Tous es Celebre Ici’, is a play on words that means either ‘everyone is famous here’ or ‘everyone celebrates here’ and it rings true quite differently in the Lebanese arena nowadays. We will continue to celebrate, it’s just a matter of how.

Will you miss La Petite Maison?
