Every storm that has hit Lebanon brings with it quite a bit of damage. Here is a look back at some of the storms that have battered the country in the past, and a preview of their aftermath.

2. (October, 2018)
After an initial brief shower, this storm left the country in shambles. Flights were disrupted by the storm, hail shattered car windows, winds knocked down electric poles and trees, and at least one death was reported.

3. Vladimir (January, 2016)
Vladimir hit the country at the first day of the New Year, on January 1st, 2016. The storm, which came after weeks of warm weather and light showers, left dozens of motorists stranded on icy roads and knocked power out to some areas.

4. Ursula (January, 2016)
Although the severity of this storm was far less than that of Vladimir, Ursula still left mountain roads blocked from snow, forced ports to close and caused poor visibility due to thick fog.
5. Zeina (January, 2015)
The storm brought more misery for hundreds of thousands of refugees living in the worst affected areas.

6. Yohan (February , 2015)
Only a month after Zeina, Yohan battered Lebanon and caused massive disruption to the country’s roads and services.

7. Olga (January, 2013)
Also dubbed as ‘The Bride Storm,’ Olga brought forth a first-time phenomenon, a flock of outlandish fish were found on the coastline of the south region of Tyre, Lebanon. Fishermen said that they believe these flocks came from Palestine, and that the recent blizzard carried them to the Lebanese shores.

8. Alexa (December, 2013)
