Tune In To Gavin Ford’s Tribute Show Friday Morning
Ten radio stations will be joining forces this Friday the 7th at 9 a.m to broadcast a lovely tribute to the cherished radio personality Gavin Ford, who was brutally murdered last week.
Dan Harper, a friend, colleague, and former Production Manager at Radio One, spoke to RadioToday about the tribute: “Together with Olga Habre, I’m producing a one hour pre-recorded tribute show for Gavin which will air on a number of radio stations in Lebanon at the same time. This is a first for Lebanese radio and a fitting tribute to a much loved and highly respected figure in our industry who had legions of fans after 23 years on Radio One.”

The show will be broadcasted on Radio One, Virgin Radio Lebanon, Power FM, Light FM, Nostalgie, Mix FM, NRJ, Fame FM, Ciel FM and Sawt el Ghad will all broadcast Gavin’s Tribute show on Friday December 7 at 9 AM and will be rebroadcast at 5 PM the same day. If you don’t have access to a radio, the show is going to be live streamed online and will later be available on YouTube.
Eight days later, it’s still hard to process Gavin’s murder. Not only was he a delightful voice to listen to in the morning, but also a loving character that longed for a better Lebanon. Just roaming around town, in supermarkets and malls or just tuning in the radio, it is odd to listen to a voice in ads whose face is not longer here.
Gavin’s family and friends are promoting a cause dear to his heart, you can donate here to the Children Cancer Center in his honor.
