Our Favorite Miss Lebanon Runners-up From The Past 15 Years

After tracking down former Miss Lebanon winners last year, we prepare for this year’s pageant by remembering some of our favorite Miss Lebanon contestants from the past 15 years who might’ve missed out on the coveted title but still managed to capture the public eye with their beauty.

Note: names are listed in chronological order.

Rita Lamah [2003]

Following her memorable journey on the 2003 pageant, where results were primarily based on popular vote following a 2-month reality TV competition, Lamah forged a successful path in fashion and TV presenting prior to moving to Japan with her husband, current MP Elias Hankach. Now back in Lebanon, the blue-eyed beauty juggles her personal styling, blogging and TV presenting passions on a freelance basis while being a mom to three children.

Leen Sleiman [2003]

Another beautiful face from 2003, 1st runner-up Leen Sleiman was also an audience favorite during her time on the reality TV pageant. The English Literature graduate and mom-of-two subsequently took her skills to the small screen, co-hosting a number of shows on Future TV and LBCI.

Anabella Hilal [2006 ]

After winning first runner-up in the Miss Lebanon 2005 pageant, fan-favorite Anabella Hilal went on to represent her country in Miss World, where she made the top 17. The stunning law graduate has come a long way since then, becoming one of the most popular female TV presenters in the Arab World [and garnering a humongous social media following along the way].

Jessica Kahawaty [2010]

Lebanese-Australian beauty Jessica Kahawaty did not settle for her 3rd runner-up placement in the 2010 pageant as she was crowned Miss World Australia just two years later and went on to represent Australia in Miss World 2012 in China, where she placed 2nd runner-up. The law graduate is currently a successful model and passionate humanitarian. She also hosted the first season of Project Runway Middle East and continues to share snippets of her glam life on Instagram.

Nabila Awad [2010]

Most remembered today as a proficient news presenter on MTV Lebanon, Awad formerly placed 2nd runner-up in Miss Lebanon 2010. Dotted with a great bone structure and poised appeal, she holds a master’s degree in journalism and had moved to Sky News Arabia in 2015 prior to returning to MTV earlier this year.

Nour Nasrallah [2015]

Nasrallah’s intense blue eyes and distinctive features made her a social media sensation during the Miss Lebanon pageant night in 2015, where she walked out with a 3rd runner-up placement. Vegan for good as per her Instagram bio, she is currently a journalist and news anchor on LBCI.

Reem Khoury [2017]

Thanks to her distinct looks and strong personality, Khoury made the Top 5 in last year’s pageant and won Miss Influential after being the social media favorite of the night, notably on Twitter. She currently pursues a career as an independent actress, filmmaker and production designer.

Yousra Mohsen [2017]

One of my personal favorite contestants from last year who also made the coveted Top 5, the fresh-faced brunette is also a Paris-based professional dancer with great technique. She’s got the looks and moves too.

The Miss Lebanon 2018 contestants have been revealed earlier this month and the pageant is set to take place on September 30.
