Our Favorite Photos From Yesterday’s International Domestic Workers Day Protest In Beirut

Yesterday, on June 24, hundreds of people gathered on Beirut’s Dora Roundabout to stand with domestic workers and their rights in Lebanon. Protesting the discriminatory Kafala System under which hundreds of thousands of domestic workers are monitored and sometimes abusively regulated, as well as opposing all forms of modern slavery, people from all around the country gathered in civil protest. Here are some of the most inspiring photos and videos taken at the event – one that promotes nothing but respect, appreciation, and equal human rights for everyone in Lebanon, especially for those who support our families the most.
