Sporting Beach’s Resident Seal Makes His Summer 2017 Debut

A video surfaced online today capturing a happy seal swimming along Sporting Beach Club’s shore. After speaking with the management, we learned that this seal, nicknamed ‘Sporty’ and most probably a Mediterranean Monk Seal, has become somewhat of a mascot for this famous Beirut beach.
“He’s been spotted here every summer for the past few years, and we think that he lives in one of the caves just by the deck of the beach,” we were told by the team at Sporting Club.
