If you’re anything like me, you’re probably sick and tired of ordering from the same old pizza parlors each and every time you crave a slice of pizza. Here’s a list of some of the best, yet underrated, places to find a slice in Lebanon.

1. Mamamia

Mamamia is the absolute best place to go if you’re craving a pizza that tastes homemade. The homey restaurant is actually run by a family that is extremely hospitable, with the interior decor making you feel right at home. Their menu offers so many unique options like the Hawaiian and Steak pizza and of course the Mamamia that is loaded with fresh vegetables, ham, and cheese.

2. Olivo

Passing through Bhamdoun on a road trip or just visiting the quaint village? The Carlton Hotel’s Olivo is definitely the place for some delicious Italian food. Aside from their amazing pastas, their pizzas are truly mouthwatering. With a thin crust, just the right amount of sauce, and high quality toppings will have you craving more. I highly recommend the Margherita and the Al Funghi.

3. By the Slice

This tiny pizza shack is nearly invisible on one of Mar Mikhael’s busiest streets. Pizza is ordered by the slice (hence the name), and flavors range from four cheese to mushroom and pepperoni. The options may sound simple, but the taste is definitely mind-blowing.

4. Bakery Cafe

Bakery Cafe’s homestyle pizza makes it one of Beirut’s most precious hidden gems. This small bakery and coffee shop serves fresh pizza that’s both filling and satisfying, with a light layer of tomato sauce topped with different cheeses. Their specialty is the Fajita Pizza and it’s definitely worth a try.

5. Don Baker

Thin, crispy, large slices of pizza are what make Don Baker’s pizza so unique. Even their Margherita pizza isn’t ordinary as it’s topped with French cheese, and it’s extremely satiating to say the least.
