Alphonse de Lamartine (1790-1869), the French poet and politician, lived in Lebanon during his voyage to the Orient. He loved it and got inspired by it. There are many places in Lebanon named after him. One of them is Lamartine Valley, which was the source of inspiration for some of his literature masterpieces. This will be an amazing hike suitable for all levels of hikers.
