Shawarma Ice Cream Exists—Here’s Where to Try It in Beirut

Dubai chocolate ice cream, halawet el jibn ice cream, bouza 3a kousa…but this new creation knocks it out of the park. Beyrout Restaurant is making shawarma ice cream, and we don’t know how to feel.

This Lebanese snack is located in Aicha Bakker, a stone’s throw away from Al Daouk Sweets. Shawarma is a must-try on their menu, and it’s known for being super affordable—beef shawarma is 150,000LBP, and chicken goes for 100,000LBP. But we never expected them to put everyone’s go-to bite on an ice cream cone.

Rest assured that they replaced the ice cream with toum, which gives it that signature garlic kick you’d expect from shawarma. We’re not exactly sure how the sweet and crunchy cone will pair with shawarma and toum, but if you’re planning on trying it, let us know if it’s good.
