Perched atop a green hill in our beloved Jnoub, boutique guesthouse Dar Zefta has reopened its doors after a full restoration.
Originally built in 1911 and known as Al Darwish Palace, this century-old heritage home in the village of Zefta, Nabatieh, embodies timeless Lebanese charm.
Despite the heavy damage it sustained during enemy aggressions against Lebanon, the guesthouse has been carefully restored by Bahjat Al Darwish, the grandson of the original owners, bringing it back to life.
Dar Zefta is more than just stone walls—it stands as a symbol of Lebanese heritage and collective memory.
Carefully preserved, the house retains its original charm. From stone arches and wooden windows to breathtaking terraces that overlook ancient olive groves and the blooming hills of the South.
Today, Dar Zefta is more than a guesthouse. It’s a cultural space that welcomes anyone seeking an authentic taste of South Lebanon.
Visitors can enjoy traditional meals, host private events, join creative workshops, or simply unwind in the jasmine-filled garden. Dar Zefta is a place for gathering, celebrating, and reconnecting, and it’s so easy to fall in love with this southern gem.
