Pop-Up in Beirut: Everything You Should Know About Women’s Sexual Health

From April 6 to April 30, 2025, omgyno is hosting a pop-up store in Beirut, offering women a shame-free space to learn about sexual and menstrual health. The event will feature an exclusive range of products designed to empower and educate.

Here’s everything you need to know about this pop-up and why you should check it out.

What Is omgyno?

With the purpose of filling the gaps in women’s health—particularly in Lebanon, where many face barriers in accessing sexual and menstrual healthcare—omgyno is breaking the taboos surrounding these important issues, providing a space where women can access care, education, and products without shame or stigma.

This social enterprise launched its first project in Lebanon in 2023. It provides anonymous at-home vaginal testing kits for those with no direct access to clinical care.

On their website, you’ll find a range of testing kits that include:

– HPV tests (Cervical cancer screening)

– Vaginitis tests (Bacteria, fungus, and viruses)

– Urinalysis + Vaginitis tests (UTIs, bacteria, fungus, and viruses)

– A full package STI test

Their full package home-kit includes tests for the following sexually transmitted infections: Chlamydia trachomatis, Ureaplasma parvum, Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Haemophilus ducreyi, Gardnerella vaginalis, Candida albicans, Treponema pallidum, Herpes virus type I, and Herpes virus type II.

They have a super easy instructional video to follow for those who are taking the home-test:

You can also book online consultations with healthcare professionals via their website. Their telehealth services are led by specialists in women’s health, allowing you to discuss test results, ask questions, or have consultations.

What Will You Find At The Pop-Up?

In collaboration with The Carton shop at Kalei Coffee Co. in Mar Mikhael, you can learn about their home-testing kits and explore sustainable women’s healthcare products. This includes menstrual cups, discs, eco-pads, and period underwear!

The purpose is to give individuals the opportunity to ask questions and explore these products in person, especially if they’ve been curious about trying them but weren’t confident shopping online.

Why Is It Important?

Access to reliable and confidential health resources is crucial for every woman. However, many in Lebanon face challenges in obtaining the care and information they need.

Services like omgyno help bridge these gaps, enabling women to take charge of their health without judgment. Their pop-up store offers a chance to explore alternative health solutions in a supportive environment.
