Lebanon’s newly appointed Public Works and Transport Minister, Fayez Rasamny, has officially launched a digital gate system at the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, marking a significant step toward enhancing airport efficiency and security.
The $1.1 million project, implemented by Black Delta Defence, introduces 30 advanced digital gates designed to streamline passenger flow and enhance border control.

The installation includes six Pre-Security Boarding Gates to streamline passenger movement before security checks, along with 24 gates in the General Security area to strengthen border control measures. Additionally, the system features a queuing flow management system designed to optimize passenger circulation, reducing congestion and wait times.
This could be a major step towards improving Lebanon’s airport infrastructure, enhancing the overall travel experience, and boosting security measures. With these upgrades, Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport is set to handle passenger traffic more efficiently.
