Can we finally put the Dubai chocolate trend to rest and make way for the Beirut chocolate?
Inspired by the viral creation by FIX Dessert Chocolatier, award-winning Lebanese-Australian pastry chef Philip Khoury decided to create a Lebanese twist that combines flavor and heritage with the Beirut Chocolate Bar.
Before we dive into the flavor, the Beirut Chocolate Bar is visually (in our opinion) much better than the Dubai chocolate. Featuring a vintage Lebanese postage stamp, every bite will feel like home—especially to the Lebanese expat longing for a taste of their heritage.
The design alone is a nostalgic nod to the country’s rich history, making it not just a treat for the tastebuds, but also a visual journey to Lebanon.
While the viral Dubai chocolate features a knefeh pistachio mix, the Beirut version is a mix of orange blossom caramel, twice-baked baklawa, cashew crème, and Esmeraldas 50% almond milk chocolate.
The purpose of this nostalgic bite is to enjoy something both rich and balanced. And it’s 100% plant-based!
