Ain Anoub, a small village in Mount Lebanon, has so many springs that you could visit a new one every day of the year. The village is rich in natural beauty and history, making it a hidden gem for nature lovers and explorers alike.

Anyone who has been to this wonderful village knows that its charm lies in its people and greenery. So many heritage homes are nestled among its trees, making it a historical village as much as a natural oasis.

One interesting fact about this village is that its water source never runs out. You could literally drink from a different water source every day for an entire year!

Ain Anoub is located in the heart of Mount Lebanon’s Aley District, adjacent to Bchamoun. In fact, a stream flows directly through the valley that separates the two villages.

Apart from its enchanting natural beauty, the village is also home to several historical landmarks that reflect its rich heritage. The traditional stone houses, some of which date back centuries, are a testament to Ain Anoub’s enduring legacy. The village’s charming streets and ancient church offer a glimpse into its past, where history and culture have flourished for generations.

A must-visit landmark in Ain Anoub is the saraya, which once belonged to King Mustafa Erslan and his brother Mohammad. The history of this forgotten saraya is etched into the stones of the village, and it still stands to this day.

Did you know that the famous poet Talih Hamdan is from Ain Anoub? It’s said that the village children would gather together, sharing arak and traditional food, singing zajal until morning. Zajal was the voice of the village, filled with poetry and a love for life.
