Meet Fadi, the Cat Who Found Love and a Home in Jnoub

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed? This heartwarming video is sure to brighten your day. A family displaced from their village in Tyre found a stray cat while sheltering in Beirut. They named the cat Fadi and decided to bring it back with them to Jnoub.

The family, displaced from the southern village of Tayr Felsay in the Tyre District, had been sheltering in Beirut’s Al Aamliyeh area for two months. During this time, they befriended a kitten, caring for it and feeding it every day.

When the ceasefire went into effect at 4 AM on Wednesday, the family quickly packed their belongings to return to their beloved village. Naturally, they couldn’t leave the cat behind. The family’s youngest member, Zainab, decided to name it Fadi and bring it home to Tayr Felsay.

How cute is that? We’re so happy to see this family return home AND welcome a new family member!

There’s actually another story like this, where a family adopted a kitten because it kept following them after they were displaced from Aita El Shaab. The kitten’s name is Janoub. You can read all about that story here!
