Captain Rola Hoteit Shares Heartbreaking Footage of Airstrikes From the Sky

Captain Rola Hoteit, the first female pilot to join Middle East Airlines flight crew, shared a heartbreaking video capturing violent airstrikes over Lebanon. The footage featured a compilation of videos from the cockpit, capturing the plane during takeoff as multiple enemy airstrikes struck various areas across Lebanon.

She captioned her video: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Through all hardships, we continue to fly, carrying Lebanon’s name and cedar across the vast skies. Pray for Lebanon.”

After several airlines suspended flights to and from Beirut, Middle East Airlines continued its operations. They also arranged for additional flights to compensate for those suspensions in order to service travelers.
