Winter Is Coming: Here’s How You Can Support the Displaced

Winter is coming, and most shelters for the displaced are ill-equipped to withstand the season’s harsh conditions. With limited insulation, outdated heating systems, and a lack of sufficient bedding, these shelters leave countless families vulnerable to the cold.

Apart from supporting nearby shelters with in-kind donations, you can donate to a number of initiatives! These initiatives are supporting the displaced with blankets, warm clothes, socks, and other necessities to keep them warm this winter.

1. Shabebik

Even the smallest donation can make a difference! Shabebik’s campaign is collecting essential winter clothing items—sweaters, scarves, boots, blankets, and more—to help those in need stay warm this season.

Reach out on +961 3 861 344 or +961 3 003 099 to support their campaign.

2. Sayadila Yantafidoon

This group of independent pharmacists have not only been securing free medication and baby formula for the displaced, but they’re also working to ensure that shelters have enough blankets and winter clothing.

To make in-kind or financial donations, reach out on +961 76 450 544.

3. FabricAID

FabricAID is supporting the displaced with winter kits containing 7 essential winter clothing items. Providing thousands of articles of clothing per week, they now need your support to make sure the displaced are all set for the winter.

5. Rescuing in Lebanon
