“Ana El-Saroukh” Video Sparks Meme Frenzy on X (Twitter)

An interview between an Al-Mayadeen correspondent and a Lebanese man is making rounds on social media following a raid on Haret Saida. The correspondent interviews the young man, who was the last to evacuate the building, asking him about what was in the building. The man responds with: “There are rockets…Here I am, ana el-saroukh” (which translates to “I am the rocket”).

X, formerly known as Twitter, went into a frenzy soon after, flooding our feeds with hilarious memes about the interview. The quick-witted reply has resonated online, and “Ana El-Saroukh” quickly became Lebanese Twitter’s new favorite catchphrase.
