Lebanese Man Feeds Stray Cats in Devastated Haret Hreik

TikToker Mazen, (@cadeauxmazen24), went from posting items for sale at his gift shop to documenting his animal rescue efforts in Haret Hreik. This Lebanese man has been returning to the heavily devastated area to feed abandoned and stray cats, many of which he rescued from under the rubble.

Every day, he visits the same area in hopes of finding his rescues alive and well to leave food for them. He also urges pet owners not to leave their cats behind, as many of his rescues are house pets suffering from malnourishment and severe injuries after being trapped under the rubble for days on end.

Mazen has been searching for his lost cat, Cici, but he still can’t locate her amidst the destruction. Nevertheless, he remains hopeful and dedicates hours each day to look for her, saying that all he wishes for is to find her alive and well.
