For the Displaced: New Measures to Obtain Ekhraj Eid (Civil Registry Extracts)

A new memo issued by the General Directorate of Civil Status is allowing displaced citizens from the governorates of South Lebanon, Nabatieh, Bekaa, and Baalbak-Hermel to process civil registry extracts (إخراج القيد) through a simplified procedure.

Due to the worsening aggressions against Lebanon, the procedure for obtaining civil registry extracts has been temporarily modified. This change specifically affects regions under heavy bombardment, including South Lebanon, Bekaa, and Dahye. The purpose is to ensure that displaced citizens can still access essential civil documentation.

Displaced citizens from these regions can now issue an electronic individual civil status statement from their current place of residence. They can visit the nearest civil registry office to obtain a new civil registry extract based on an organized request from al-mokhtar, as per the regulations, or renew them as needed.

The Directorate has emphasized that this procedure will remain in effect until further notice. For more details, click here.
