These Are the Countries That Sent Humanitarian Aid to Lebanon

With the escalation of the war and following the displacement of more than a million people from South Lebanon, Bekaa, and the southern suburbs of Beirut, a number of countries pledged humanitarian aid to Lebanon to support relief efforts.

The European Union

The EU has announced €10 million ($11.2 million) in humanitarian aid to support those affected by the war. This funding will focus on providing essential food assistance, shelter, and healthcare to those in need.

Russia

Russia has delivered approximately 33 tons of humanitarian aid, consisting of food, essential supplies, and medicines. This aid is specifically aimed at supporting those who have been displaced by destruction and shelling.

France

France’s humanitarian aid includes a shipment of 12 tons of medical equipment to treat up to 1,000 individuals with severe injuries.

Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pledged aid to Lebanon, which includes medical assistance to treat those in need.

Egypt

Egypt dispatched urgent medical and humanitarian aid to Lebanon. 

Jordan

Jordan dispatched a cargo plane carrying humanitarian aid to the Lebanese army to assist them in addressing the current conditions on the ground.

Iraq

Iraq provided over 75 tons of food and medical aid. This support also includes the establishment of refugee centers and the provision of medical care for the wounded in Iraqi hospitals.

Canada

Canada pledged $10 million in humanitarian aid to civilians in Lebanon.

Iran

During the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister, 10 tons of food and medicine were delivered as part of Iran’s humanitarian aid efforts.

Pakistan

Pakistan provided 19 tons of medical supplies, food, and essential items for centers sheltering the forcibly displaced.

Turkey

A Turkish plane has arrived in Lebanon, delivering aid and medical supplies to bolster the Lebanese health sector.

United Arab Emirates

President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, pledged an urgent relief package valued at $100 million.

UNICEF aid funded by Britain

The Minister of Public Health received a shipment of 25 tons of medicines and medical supplies from UNICEF, funded by the British government.
