After compiling a list of 25+ initiatives collecting donations to support forcibly displaced families in South Lebanon, we found that animal rescue efforts are also in need of urgent assistance. These dedicated groups are risking their lives to save pets and stray animals trapped under the bombardment, providing shelter, medical care, and relocation. Here’s how you can get involved and help support these crucial efforts.
In a personal initiative, Kassem has been visiting villages under bombardment in the south to feed the strays and the pets left behind since the beginning of the war. To support his efforts, you can donate here.

Houssein Hamza runs a shelter for over 150 animals in South Lebanon, but it’s currently located in a heavily bombarded area. He’s doing his best to provide them with food. You can contact him on +961 78 872 507 for more information on how to support his initiative.
An animal shelter in Aley is offering food and safe housing to anyone displaced from the South who has brought their pets with them. You can donate through Whish Money and Western Union.
